The Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) was established under the Malaysian Cocoa Board (Incorporation) Act 1988 to promote and develop the cocoa industry in Malaysia. MCB plays a vital role in advancing the country’s cocoa industry by engaging in research, development, and innovation. It also supports industry players, including cocoa farmers, processors, manufacturers, and exporters, by offering technical expertise, training, and guidance on best practices to enhance the quality of Malaysian cocoa.
The Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) is committed to fostering sustainable and competitive growth for the Malaysian cocoa industry, ensuring that it remains a key player in the global market.
It strives to increase the productivity and income of local cocoa farmers while promoting Malaysia as a source of premium cocoa products, from beans to value-added chocolate and cocoa-based innovations. The MCB also collaborates with international partners to expand Malaysia’s presence in the global cocoa market and supports initiatives that enhance product development, quality control, and industry standards. A valid Passport (and visa if applicable) is required for all individuals entering Malaysia. Immigration requests that your passport be valid for at least 6 months. Visitors are advised to check the visa information provided at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia. Most foreign visitors to Malaysia can enter with just a passport.
Note
Citizens of Nigeria and Bangladesh are required to obtain entry clearance from Sabah’s State Home Affairs and Research Office, at least seven days prior to their arrival. Kindly note that failing to comply with this requirement may result in denial of entry to Sabah.

Applicants MUST provide:
(1) Copy of Passport;
(2) Copy of Immigration Pass in Passport;
(3) Provide detailed justifications of visit (including duration/ date on entry) and contact number during visit in Sabah, including contact person;
(4) Booking confirmation/ proof of stay in Sabah;
(5) Proof of tour travels packages (if any)/ relevant supporting documents of official visit, business visit such as MICF 2025 ticket;
(6) Return ticket/ confirmed flight itinerary.
(7) Letter from company – Leave approval (if any)
